Parlay or Parley
This reference is for players who let winning bets ride.
Pass
A situation where the right bettors are winning. Also refers to a throw that was made off the point or natural throw.
Pass line bet
A bet placed before the come out roll and it predicts that the dice will pass.
Past posting
Attempting to place a bet after the dice has already rolled.
Payoff
What the winning player wins in a game.
Pit
An area only for casino employees such as the dealers, bosses and management will stand within a circle of tables.
Pit boss
A casino staff member who manages all the tables in one particular area.
Place numbers and bets
These are the numbers 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 and 10. A place bet is a wager that predicts that these 6 numbers will come up before the number seven.
Playing the field
Players betting that the 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11 or the 12 will come up on the next roll.
Point
A reference that relates to the number established already on the come out roll and can be any one of the following numbers: 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or the 10.
Point numbers
The player or shooter must roll again the initial roll made and it may have been the 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or the 10 as the point number.
Press a bet
Once a player doubles or parleys their bet.
Proposition bet
These are bets that are made at the center of the craps table layout.
Put bet press
Where a player increases their bet, usually doubling. Same as Parlay
