Lay the odds
Odds that are bet against the number that pays off less than even money.
Lay bet
Bets that are allowed to bet that the number 7 will show up before the 4, 10, 5, 9, 6 or 8. The craps player will be charged a 5% commission on bets like these.
Lay wager
A bet against a point number that is already thrown and has been enabled by a 5% commission purchase.
Layout
This term refers to the surface of a craps table and that shows the many areas where craps wagers can be placed.
Lid
A plastic or wood covering the bank when a table is not active.
Line bet
A bet on the pass line or Don´t pass line.
Little Joe
Receiving a hard 4, which means a 2-2.
Loaded dice
Where a dice is weighed and used for influencing the roll inappropriately.
Long and strong
The hard roll by the stickman when he or she wants a strong roll off the back wall of the craps table.
Lump
A reference given to dealers who are unable to handle heavy tables
